Absolutely smashing fish & chips. Hot curry sauce was peppery and perfect consistency to compliment a perfectly crisp large fish. Excellent service, polite and personal whilst maintaining efficiency. Always love the food from here, I live 20 minutes away but drive to get food from Plank Lane because it's worth it! The food is cooked fresh and is delicious. Great portion sizes too. The staff are always so welcoming and lovely. Even when it's super busy they work so hard and are lovely, you don't really have to wait that long even when it's packed. My favourite fish and chip shop by far!

Very clean shop. Super clean fry on the food. This is, by far, the best Fish and chips for miles. The fillet is as it should be, and very much as most of us remember - a full fillet. Its so refreshing to find a chippy that doesn't take you for a fool by trying to serve you a portion of a fillet- and try and convince you otherwise. The batter was thin and crispy, as opposed to the thick and soggy offering alot of other chip shops are currently serving up. We've waited for some time to visit this place and after just finishing our food, we are delighted with what was served to us. So much so, we probably won't have a main meal today because we just feel We've had one. The price was also very fair too. Winner all round. Highly recommend a visit if you really want to know what fish and chips should taste like. 13/4/2024 - A year on and still a Superb place for fish and chips. Without question, the best place to get a good piece of Cod for miles around. It was cooked to perfection, and the batter was so crispy.
